I am very grateful for the care, I had an emergency and the doctor was very kind to receive me. I loved his treatment and kindness but above all his work. Excellent professional, I recommend him 1000% and from now on I hope to continue visiting the office when necessary, it gave me a lot of confidence and peace of mind. Thank you very much today I was able to smile again.
Dr. Kerns was extremely thorough, taking his time and also making sure throughout the whole process to check often I was comfortable. Office space was very inviting, and I enjoyed having a private space for cleaning, and everything else that needed to be done. Will continue to go there for all dental needs!
I had a great experience here. I was told by another dentist that one of my teeth needed a root canal, possibly even an extraction. I came here for a second opinion and felt so much better after meeting with Dr. Kerns. He was able to fix my tooth with just a filling. He was very confident, friendly and calm. Asked me several times throughout to make sure I was comfortable. The practice has great equipment and I felt very informed about everything. The practice is very clean. Would highly recommend!
I’m extremely impressed with the team of professionals at Smile Line Studio. The care is individualized, and Dr. Kerns goes above and beyond expectations. He genuinely cares. You never feel rushed as he takes his time to evaluate and discuss the treatment plan, and consistently follows up after the visit. Additionally, they have a beautiful office with pristine tech. I highly recommend calling them if you’re looking for a dental team that cares about their patients.
The best dental experience I have ever had. You walk into Smile Line Studio and it is clean, bright, and modern. The staff couldn’t be any nicer or professional. Dr. Geoff took 3D images of my teeth and showed me more in 10 minutes than I ever knew about my teeth. I unfortunately had a cavity. Dr. Geoff showed me the cavity on his imaging and explained why I needed it fixed. This might be the only dental office that is stress-relieving, not stress-inducing.

Invisalign Treatment Process
Consultation
At your initial consultation, Dr. Geoff will assess whether Invisalign is a suitable option for you. The first step is examining your oral health to detect any gaps or crowding and check that your gums are healthy enough for treatment. Additionally, we will discuss your smile goals and together determine a treatment plan that is tailored to meet your specific needs and lifestyle.
Digital Impressions
Next, our staff will take impressions of your teeth and bite using digital imaging technology. After the impressions are made, Dr. Geoff will review them for accuracy and make any necessary adjustments before sending them off to our trusted dental lab. At the lab, skilled technicians will craft your first few sets of aligners to precisely fit your teeth and guide them toward the desired position.
Fitting & Next Steps
After we receive your Invisalign aligners, you will return to our office, where Dr. Geoff will carefully check their fit and make any necessary adjustments. You will receive detailed instructions on how to wear and take care of your new aligners. Most patients will wear each set for approximately 2 weeks, at least 20-22 hours per day. About every 6 weeks, you will return to our office to pick up your next few sets of aligners. During those visits, we will check to ensure that your smile is progressing as planned.
The Benefits Of Invisalign
COMFORTABLE
FIT
Invisalign aligners are custom-made to fit your teeth without the need for brackets or wires, resulting in a comfortable fit that’s tailored to your smile.
Removable
aligners
Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign aligners are removable, making it easy to eat and drink what you want and keep up with your oral hygiene routine.
Quick
results
Invisalign can often align your smile in less time than traditional braces, allowing you to achieve your desired results faster.
What is invisalign
Invisalign straightens teeth discreetly using clear, removable aligners. Unlike traditional braces characterized by bulky metal brackets, Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible and tailored to fit your teeth perfectly. They offer a comfortable and convenient solution for a variety of alignment issues, from minor adjustments to more complex cases.
HOW INVISALIGN WORKS
Invisalign gradually moves your teeth into their desired positions through a series of custom-made aligners. Every two weeks, you’ll transition to a new set of aligners, each designed to bring your teeth closer to your ideal smile. Throughout your treatment, Dr. Kerns will closely monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to keep your smile on track.
HOW LONG DOES INVISALIGN TAKE
While patients often notice changes within a few weeks, completing an Invisalign treatment typically takes 10 to 18 months. The duration varies based on factors such as the severity of alignment issues, the amount of correction needed, the patient’s age, and adherence to wearing the aligners as prescribed (generally 20-22 hours per day).
INVISALIGN VERSUS BRACES
Choosing between Invisalign and braces depends on your needs and lifestyle. Invisalign offers a discreet, comfortable solution for mild to moderate alignment issues and works best for those who can commit to wearing the aligners daily. Braces, while more noticeable, are ideal for more complex cases, and don’t rely on patients remembering to wear their aligners.
Frequently Asked Questions
Check out these frequently asked questions, or call us to speak with our team.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign use custom-made aligners to gradually shift your teeth closer to their ideal placement. Each aligner tray is worn for about two weeks and gently shifts your teeth. Treatment time can vary from several months up to two years, depending on the severity of the misalignment. Most patients wear their Invisalign aligners for about a year.
Is Invisalign safe?
Absolutely! Invisalign aligners are made of BPA-free, medical-grade clear plastic for your comfort and continued health.
Is Invisalign faster than traditional braces?
Invisalign can often provide quicker results than traditional braces. The aligners gently shift all teeth faster than traditional braces, which push or pull on each tooth individually. However, every case is different, so treatment time can vary depending on your unique needs. It’s important to follow your dentist’s instructions for wearing your custom-made clear aligners to achieve the results you’re looking for in the least time possible.
What is the difference between Invisalign and traditional braces?
Invisalign use barely noticeable plastic trays called aligners to gently and discreetly shift your teeth. Traditional braces rely on metal or ceramic brackets that are secured to each tooth and connected by metal wires. Invisalign aligners are also more comfortable than traditional braces because there are no sharp points to cause discomfort, and they are easily removable for meals, photos, and other functions. However, clear aligners aren’t suitable for more complex issues like malpositioned jaws or severely misaligned bites, for which braces are a more versatile type of orthodontic treatment.
